Last night was a great game between SA and NZ. Being on the field makes things a little bit more special as well. South Africa got off to a slow start and finished on a score that was never enough with Martin Guptil being in the form of is life! Had dinner with Simon Doul and got on tv about 46392 times.....good day all round.

11
For you who are not aware yet, myself and 10 other photographers have an exhibition on in Square Edge in Palmerston North. The exhibition is running for another week so if you have the chance get a long and have a look.
The exhibition is 11 photographs from 11 photographers taken on the 11th of the 11th 2011 at 11:11am.
These are my two images both taken with the following gear.
Canon 1dmk4
Canon MP-E65
Canon MT-EX24 with DIY diffuser
I was also asked to make a short video to accompany my images and here is the link to that. Watch at high definition to get the most out of the images, and I apologise for being a bit monotone and boring haha making a video of yourself gets a bit awkward sometimes.
Somes Island
I was lucky enough to be invited to Somes Island a few weeks back to help out on some research with fluttering shearwaters.
In our spare time myself and Thomas Burns got some much needed photography in, shooting New Zealand native geckos, Tuatara, Giant weta and Native birds.
New Zealand geckos are very hard to find in the wild as their numbers have been highly decimated by introduced animals such as cats and rats.
Somes Island is a predator free island so gecko and skink numbers are quite high. This made them relatively easy to find (although we did not find any of our target species - the Wellington Green Gecko).
Gear setup for these shots;
Canon 1dmk4
Canon 100mm macro
Canon 580EX2

New Blog
Hi everyone and welcome to my new photography blog.
I hope to keep you up to date with my photography and have some exciting projects coming up soon working with some Massey University PhD and masters students.
I will eventually get onto uploading my old works but for now you can see them at my personal website and on my flickr account.
